Why people hand it off
- From Alhambra to Azusa
- Rentals get furniture help too
Flat-pack furniture saves money at the store and costs it back in hours on the floor. Instructions with only pictures, a hundred small parts, and a single wrong panel early on can mean taking half the piece apart later. A piece assembled crooked also wobbles and wears its joints. Handing it off gets it done right, usually in a fraction of the time.
What we assemble
- Beds, bed frames and bunk beds.
- Dressers, nightstands and wardrobes.
- Desks, bookcases and media consoles.
- Cribs, changing tables and kids’ furniture.
- Dining tables and chairs.
- Outdoor tables, chairs and storage boxes.
- Exercise equipment that does not need wiring.
Doing it right
- A wider view
- The furniture up close
- Nearest cross street
We inventory the parts before starting, so a missing bolt is found before the piece is half built. Cam locks are turned fully, dowels glued where the maker calls for it, and drawer slides set so drawers close evenly. Back panels on bookcases and dressers do more than cover the back; they keep the piece square, and we nail them the full length instead of a few spots.
- Studs firstFind the framing before anything else.
- Right hardwareLag into wood or use anchors rated for it.
- Mark and drillLevel the marks, then drill pilots.
- Check the holdPull on it before you trust it.
Anchoring to the wall
Tall dressers, bookcases and wardrobes can tip forward when a child climbs a drawer or during a quake. Most come with an anchor kit. We fasten it into a stud, not into drywall alone. The Anchor It! campaign at anchorit.gov explains why this matters in homes with children.
Cribs
Cribs are built exactly to the instructions with every bolt and every support in place. We check that the mattress support is set at the right height for your baby’s age and that no parts are loose. We do not modify cribs or use parts from other sets.

Packaging and cleanup
We break down boxes and gather packaging. If you want, we take it away. We also leave the spare hardware and the instructions in a labeled bag taped to the back of the piece, which helps when you move.
Moving existing furniture
If a bed or a desk needs to be taken apart for a move and put back together at the new place, we can do both ends.
Beds and bunk beds
Beds are assembled square so they do not creak. Slats are spaced to the maker’s guide and fastened where called for. Bunk beds get every guard rail installed, and we confirm the mattress thickness suits the rail height listed by the maker.

Desks and home offices
Standing desks need the frame square and the legs level, or they wobble at full height. We route cords along the frame with clips, and set up monitor arms that clamp to the desk.
Outdoor furniture
Outdoor sets get stainless or coated hardware where the kit provides it, tightened fully, and checked after a few weeks of use as wood settles. Storage boxes and benches are anchored or weighted if they sit in windy spots.
Office and small business
Shops and small offices around the valley need desks, shelving and chairs built quickly. Tell us your opening hours and we will find a time within ours that works.

What to have ready
Clear floor space near where the piece will live, open the boxes if you like, and keep the hardware bags together. If there is a delivery date, we can schedule for that afternoon.
Hardware that strips
Particleboard holds screws only so many times. If a piece has been taken apart and rebuilt more than once, screw holes often strip. We fix them with wood filler and dowels, or new inserts, so the piece holds together again. Overtightening with a power drill is the most common cause; we drive final turns by hand.
Big and heavy pieces
- Snap and send
- Furniture cost set first
- Tested before leaving
Wardrobes and large bookcases are assembled near where they will stand, because moving them afterward strains the joints. We check ceiling height before standing tall pieces up from the floor, since some need more clearance than the finished height to tilt upright.

Return-ready
If a piece arrives damaged or with missing parts, we stop, photograph the problem and help you request a replacement part from the seller.

Wall-mounted furniture
Wall desks, floating nightstands and hanging cabinets combine assembly with wall mounting. We find studs first, then build to fit. That saves taking a finished piece apart because a stud was in the wrong spot.

Patio umbrellas and bases
Umbrellas need heavy bases for valley wind gusts. We assemble them, fill or weight the base fully, and suggest closing the umbrella when wind picks up.
Gaming chairs and office chairs
Chairs are quick but easy to get wrong: the gas cylinder must seat fully, and the arms and back must be tight. We check the tilt and height functions before handing off. A loose chair is uncomfortable and wears its parts quickly.
TV stands and consoles
Media consoles hold heavy TVs. We assemble them fully, add every support the maker includes, and anchor the TV to the stand or wall so it cannot tip. Cable holes are lined up with where the outlets are.
